A clothes moth is a moth whose larvae feed on
clothes, upholstery, and carpets. The adults
are small golden or silvery moths.
The natural habitat of the larvae is in the
nests of animals, feeding on remains of hair
and feathers, but they have adapted to human
households and can cause considerable damage,
for example, the common clothes moth Tineola
bisselliella.
